Modern toolset for H5 apps
Recently, we’ve been diving into how we build H5 apps for Infor M3 and examining the tooling and support available. It’s no secret that the existing tools for H5 apps have been lagging behind. They often diverge significantly from standard Angular configurations—the framework these apps are built on—which creates unnecessary challenges.
In response, we’ve been working on developing a more modern toolset for H5 apps, with a vision to open-source most (if not all) of it for the broader community. Our goal is to make building and maintaining H5 apps more seamless, up-to-date, and in line with best practices.
Here’s a sneak peek at some of the key features we’re hoping to tackle:
🚀 V2 and bulk APIs for M3
🔑 A simplified tenant management solution, including streamlined tenant switching (think Odin Serve, but easier).
🔄 Access token refresh capabilities
❌ No more bundled Chromium!
⚡ A HttpClient-based HTTP service for Angular, adhering to Angular standards
🆕 Ensuring compatibility with the latest Angular versions and making upgrades as effortless as possible.
At the heart of it, we want to empower the M3 community to build H5 apps using tools that feel modern, efficient, and sustainable.
Does this resonate with anyone else working on H5 apps? We’d love to hear your thoughts, challenges, or ideas! Feel free to comment here or reach out directly at stewart.rutledge@beredo.net.
