Developing H5 Apps is Faster Than You Think

Yesterday we wrote about when to choose H5 apps—and how often it’s faster and easier than you’d think.

This morning, I put that idea to the test by building a simple H5 app to help manage OIS005.

The concept is straightforward: a searchable list of customers (by name or customer number), where you can expand a customer to see their connected items.

From there, items can be added one at a time (with validation against MMS200) or in bulk via a simple dialog.

And it actually works! No mock data, no fake APIs. From idea to working app took about 1.5 to 2 hours.

There’s still plenty to refine (like improving item search), but I think it’s a great example of just how quickly you can start delivering value with H5 apps.
